1. Overview

Closetcore is a private wardrobe and outfit-planning app for iPhone. This Privacy Policy applies to the Closetcore iOS application and the Closetcore website operated by Ciara Proia.

Closetcore is designed to be local-first and account-free. Your clothing library is stored on your device. Some optional features, including live weather, require communication with Apple services.

2. Information stored in the app

When you use Closetcore, the app may store the following information locally on your device:

  • Garment photos you capture or select
  • Garment information such as names, categories, notes, and colors
  • Primary and secondary colors associated with garments
  • Saved outfits and their component pieces
  • Calendar plans connecting outfits with dates
  • A manually selected city for weather suggestions
  • Your preference regarding approximate location
  • Appearance, seasonal theme, and related app preferences

Closetcore does not require a developer-operated account.

3. Camera and Photos

Closetcore uses Camera access when you choose to photograph a garment. When you select an existing image, Closetcore uses Apple’s system Photos picker.

These actions are initiated by you. The system picker allows Closetcore to work with the images you select without requiring general browsing access to your entire photo library.

4. Garment-image processing

Closetcore may process garment images on your device to remove backgrounds and prepare clothing layers for Designer.

This processing is used to help you organize clothing and view combinations. It does not analyze your identity, body measurements, clothing size, or physical appearance.

Designer is a visual outfit-planning tool. It does not predict clothing fit, sizing, or how an outfit will look on your body.

5. Location and weather

Location access is optional. You may instead select a city manually.

When you use weather suggestions, Closetcore sends the selected place or approximate location information needed to request weather information from Apple WeatherKit. Weather requests require a network connection and are handled by Apple under Apple’s applicable privacy practices.

Apple states that WeatherKit uses location information to provide forecasts, does not associate it with personally identifiable information, and does not track it between requests.

The Closetcore developer does not receive your garment images through WeatherKit.

Closetcore’s core wardrobe and outfit-planning features remain available without granting location access.

6. Stylist and outfit suggestions

Closetcore may provide outfit and weather-based suggestions using information stored in the app.

Where supported, suggestions may use an on-device model. On other devices, Closetcore may provide local rules-based suggestions. These features do not send your garment photos to a Closetcore server and do not analyze your body.

Suggestions are provided for general wardrobe-planning purposes. They are not professional styling, medical, weather-safety, or other professional advice.

7. Information received by the developer

The Closetcore app does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or remote crash-reporting SDKs. It does not require an account or transmit your wardrobe to a Closetcore-operated backend.

When you email support, the developer receives the contents of your message and any contact information or attachments you choose to provide. Do not send sensitive personal images unless they are necessary to resolve your request.

This website is hosted by Vercel. Vercel may process standard website traffic information, such as IP address, IP-derived location, requested URL, browser information, and system information, for security, operation, and reliability. Vercel’s handling of that information is governed by its own privacy notice.

8. Advertising, tracking, and service providers

Closetcore does not contain advertising.

Closetcore does not track users across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising or advertising-measurement purposes.

The current app does not include third-party analytics SDKs.

Closetcore uses Apple-provided technologies and services, which may include:

  • Camera
  • The system Photos picker
  • On-device image-processing frameworks
  • Location services when authorized
  • WeatherKit

The website uses Vercel for hosting and associated infrastructure.

9. Data retention and deletion

Wardrobe and planning information remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, or iOS otherwise removes the app’s data.

You may delete individual garments and saved outfits inside Closetcore.

You may also use:

Settings → Data Controls → Delete All Wardrobe and Planning Data

This removes the wardrobe and planning content managed by that control. Appearance settings and weather-place preferences may remain afterward. The Data Deletion page explains the available deletion options.

Deleting Closetcore from your iPhone removes its local app container, subject to ordinary iOS and device-backup behavior. Closetcore does not control data retained in Apple-managed device backups.

Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

10. Children and families

Closetcore is a general-audience wardrobe application and is not specifically directed to children under 13.

The app does not require users to provide their name, age, face, body measurements, or contact information. Garment photos and wardrobe records are stored locally and are not transmitted to the Closetcore developer.

Parents and guardians should manage Camera, Photos, and Location permissions for younger users through the device’s settings.

Users should photograph garments by themselves rather than photographing a person wearing them when preparing clothing for Designer.

11. Security

Closetcore uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to a local-first consumer application, including storing wardrobe information within the app’s private on-device storage.

No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Closetcore cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, lost, or destroyed.

12. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Closetcore’s functionality or information practices change.

The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Where appropriate, additional notice may be provided through the app or website.
